———— a man of under average height. diego's hair is in a mullet style, short and curly atop, long and straight at the back.
the longest part of his hair stops about mid-back. his body-shape is similar to an inverted triangle, with wide shoulders and narrow waist and hips. his legs are longer than his torso, and his bodymass is mostly lithe muscle.he has a number of scars on his body. most notably, diego has a large, mottled scar across his midsection beneath his navel, which loops right around his body.
beneath his fringe, he has a smaller scar that runs along his hairline. he has multiple, smaller and faded scars from various scuffles and incidents over the years.he usually has his stand active in the form of his tail. his tail is long, snake-like and flexible, with large golden feathers running down the middle and pluming outwards at the tip. his old nickname 'DIO' stripes both sides of his tail.he often favours wearing his suit, which is simply a plain white shirt with a blue waistcoat and trousers, with lace-up riding boots that his trousers are tucked into. however, sometimes, he's seen in his usual jockeying outfit. he also has a habit of wearing his hair back into a ponytail.

PERSONALITY .
———— there are many words you can use to describe diego and humble is not one of them. after the races brutal conclusion, nowadays diego is often generally more reserved, withdrawn quiet, but still a man not to be underestimated. and he often knows exactly what he wants, and how to get it, at that.diego is extremely sarcastic, with a very typically british dry, sometimes depricating sense of humour, with a very egotistical streak to boot.working directly under president valentine has made him far more cunning and observant to the world around him, as that is what his current occupation demands of him in the tumultuous scene of american politics.
although often concealed, he does very much have a soft & compassionate side, which is usually seen in his treatment of animals, and of course, his pride & joy, silver bullet.diego brando is more than capable of kindness, but the cold mask is often kept on and it is one that is hard to remove– only to protect his reputation and more importantly, his ego.

———— despite growing up in the english countryside, having moved to london at a young age, his true accent is more akin to the stereotypical cockney than to a devonshire one. that being said, he does put on a heightened recieved pronounciation tone much of the time, in other words: the 'posh' english voice, as he thinks it makes him sound more upper class. however, despite that, he does still swear like a sailor, and does use a lot of british slang.usually, his stand, scary monsters, is activated in the form of his tail, for extra support and balance. however, sometimes his claws are drawn and his eyes become slit, too.black coffee is his favourite drink, though tea is fine, as well.he has a scar across his midsection from having survived being split by valentine's train. it is an extremely sensitive area of his body and he often refuses to discuss it, let alone anyone touch it. due to the damage to his spine, sometimes walking and even existing comfortably is often a challenge. a very touchy subject.he also has a scar across his forehead from falling off his horse when dr. ferdinand gave him scary monsters. this has mostly faded into a small white mark under his fringe.

most of dio's history, and exactly how much it diverges from diego's, is mostly unknown. dio is a close acquaintance of diego's, fate having drawn them together after the race. it's challenging to explain, even for diego himself, but there's something about him that is different at a foundational level- something that deviates the two entirely, despite being the same person at their core.something changed after the race concluded. for some reason, some mysterious power prevents D4C's ability from working, and they are able to touch without annihilating one another....something tells him that this was destiny, either way.
